PCC-ACNA closed out the fall of 2014 with two of our traditional events, the Fall Foliage Charity Fun Run and the Fall VIR Drivers' School, plus some members also volunteered to support the Washington DC Best Buddies Challenge for which Audi of America was the title sponsor.
The 16th annual Fall Foliage Fun Run with sponsorship support from Star Sterling Automotive saw a record participation with 29 cars and 44 total participants. The event raised $700 which will once again be donated to the UVA School of Medicine, Department of Neuroscience directed to support Parkinson's research. A full article on the event can be found in the Winter issue of the Quattro Quarterly, but in the meantime some pictures from the event can be seen in the PCC Gallery.
Our annual Fall VIR Drivers' School sponsored by Criswell Audi of Annapolis and New German Performance (NGP) was also very successful with 198 registrants plus dozens of additional friends, family and guests that came along to enjoy the camaraderie of the club. Unfortunately, PCC lost one of our own shortly before VIR when Steve Mills, a long-time member and an instructor at our first Drivers' School in 1999, passed away after a battle with cancer. In a tribute to Steve, a "Missing Man" lap was driven in his memory led by some "old school", 5-cylinder Audi's for which he had a passion. See a video montage of the lap here.
The chapter also continued the tradition of raising funds for donation to local charitable and service organizations. Over $3200 was raised in 2014 to be donated to So Others Might…Continue

PCC held another successful HPDC event once again sponsored by Criswell Audi on the new, extended Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Over 20 instructors and numerous volunteers worked with 30+ driver participants for this annual event focused on beginners/novice drivers who are starting to get engaged in track events or those who want to improve their driving skills for the daily commute.
PCC also held our first Teen Driving school in recent history sponsored by Audi Hunt Valley to help educate and make our newest drivers better and safer. By leveraging the well-established, national Street Survival program, PCC successfully ran an event that reached 40+ new drivers enhancing their enjoyment of driving and improving their competence as drivers. This will now be an annual event on the PCC calendar. Check out this detail article of the event on the ACNA National site and also more pictures in the PCC Gallery.

Audi of Hunt Valley hosted an impressive event to highlight the new A3 at the Wit & Wisdom restaurant and bar at the Four Seasons hotel in Baltimore on April 9th. The spring weather finally took hold and everyone enjoyed live music, great food, photos and fun on the outdoor patio of this popular Harbor East gathering place. Pixilated provided props and a photo booth INSIDE the new A3 which made for popular souvenirs! Attendees included the Hunt Valley Team, Audi customers & guests, Audi Club members and plenty of car enthusiasts. The event was a very pleasant interlude in a superb location. Thanks to Audi of Hunt Valley for inviting PCC-ACNA members to share in this event. See pictures in our Gallery.

Several PCC-ACNA members met for the Open House and DIY day at Induktion Motorsport on Saturday, March 29th. Omar and Sasha were first to arrive and were quickly followed by others who came to socialize and still more to see, talk and work on Audis. Ed from Induktion had plenty of space and talent on hand to help. It was a terrific day inside the shop but even better was getting to know the very interesting fellow PCC members including one Gator Fan with a great R8 and another attendee with a Red Hot S5 that got tuned to perfection. Some pictures are posted in our Gallery and check out the PCC-ACNA Facebook page for more too.
If you missed today, don't miss the next PCC event! You have 2 chances in April to meet your fellow members. Registration is open for our annual Spring VIR Drivers' School on April 14-15 and our Spring Fun Run on April 26. Check our Events page for more info. Join us, and bring your friends! Don't miss out on the fun!!
